Looking at this, I really can't help but suggest the concept of produsage [6] once again. My presentation at ATOM2006 [7] addressed the question of teaching the produsers to some extent - I'll have to see how compatible it is with Todd's descriptions. His 'delta' as a measure of the power asymmetry between producers and consumers is certainly worth considering - in my produsage model, this could also be translated into a measure of the possible spread between higher and lower levels of engagement in produsage within the overall produsage project...
