View another webinar [8] from Axel Bruns [9]

Axel Bruns of QUT will discuss the findings so far of a current ARC Discovery research project that explores how Australians use social media to communicate, share information, and form online publics around specific themes and issues. Understanding such patterns of activity is a crucial basis for the formulation of effective strategies for public engagement with online communities:

  • Online communication during crisis events: the Queensland floods
  • Understanding communities and their distributed conversations
  • Identifying and engaging with key online community leaders
